On an every day basis, Playa Linda Beach Resort is committed to a healthy, happy environment, sustainable tourism goals, as well as unforgettable vacation experiences.
We are a forward thinking resort, with an emphasis on different technologies and processes that promote conservation of water, electricity and materials. We also seek to protect both our environment and our people with the use of less caustic, ecologically healthier cleaning products. Playa Linda has been ISO 14001 certified since 2004.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Rethink
We aim to live by the 4 Rs: We recycle and work to reduce energy and water usage on a daily basis, and ask our guests to participate in these efforts, where possible.
Playa Linda Green Team
Playa Linda maintains an employee-led Green Team, and schedules an annual Green Week to evaluate, improve and further shape our green policy. Different workshops and presentations are given to refresh ideas and keep the focus on environmental ideals.
Recycling Contests
Employees are challenged to collect and recycle different materials. They earn eco-points that can be exchanged for vouchers.
Clean a Mile
We regularly involve employees in cleanup of beaches, grounds and roads, scheduled during work hours, in contributing to the community and supporting environmentally friendly outlooks.
Pack for a Purpose
Guests are asked to use the extra space in their luggage to bring along needed supplies for two different island foundations: ARF Aruba, which helps the stray dog population, and to Casa Cuna children’s home.
